Ashanti Shequoiya, also known by the name Ashanti, is an incredibly famous American singer and actress. She is a singer from the United States. and songwriter. Ashanti's talent was first discovered as a teen. The singer signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. Ashanti was featured on Fat Joe's What's Luv? The track "What's Love?" by Fat Joe as well as Ja Rule's song "Always on Time were both huge hits. With Foolish and The What's Luv as the top two songs, she became the first woman to have two songs that were in the Billboard Hot 100 chart top ten in the United States. It was the first female artist holding the Top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 in America and with the number one spot held by Foolish. one and What's Love? Tina Douglas' mother was a dance instructor and Ken-Kaide Douglas, who was the parent of Ashanti Douglas, was a singer. Kenashia Shai Douglas is her younger sister. She is the oldest.
